Keep Downey Beautiful - Another reason to choose Downey Real Estate

Downey California has a unique program maintained by the Department of Public Works called Keep Downey Beautiful. This program was created almost 30 years ago by the Downey City Council and received certification by Keep America Beautiful in 1981

This program is comprised of local citizens who volunteer their time and resources to make sure the city is educated on many topics including but not limited to:

• Beautification
• Graffiti
• Litter
• Recycling

The city provides on going support of this program by keeping on staff one city employee who oversees the every day responsibilities of the program. Anyone can become involved in Keep Downey Beautiful by simply attending one of the committee meetings which take place on the 2nd Monday of every month except July and December. The meetings are held at City Hall located at 11111 Brookshire Ave in the Engineering Conference Room between 3pm and 4pm.
